BRIGANDINE ABYSS Gameplay & Systems
BRIGANDINE ABYSS is a turn-based war simulation: you command troops, develop your bases, and take control of the continent of Meltitea. The game alternates between two main phases — Organization and Attack — with battles fought on hexagonal grids. Two modes are available: Story Mode and Mission Mode.
What is the gameplay loop of BRIGANDINE ABYSS? During Organization Phases you strengthen allied troops and manage your nation; during Attack Phases you invade neighboring nations to obtain resources or strengthen personnel. Efficient task management proves key in maximizing your forces' improvements.
Organization Phase
- Strengthen your troops — Prepare allied units for the upcoming battles by training and upgrading them.
- Recruit and manage monsters — Monster units fight alongside human characters; recruiting the right creatures shapes your army.
- Manage tasks efficiently — The official description stresses that efficient task management is key to maximizing your forces' improvements.
- Time is limited — "Strengthen Your Nation While Time Allows" is the core rhythm: every Organization Phase is a window to prepare for what comes next.
Attack Phase
- Invade neighboring nations — Other countries can be invaded to obtain resources or strengthen personnel.
- Decide for yourself — Whether to invade or not is for you to decide; conquest is one path to power, but not the only one.
- Risk and reward — Aggressive expansion spreads your forces thin; a measured approach keeps your nation secure.
Game Modes
- Story Mode — Experience the unique stories of six distinct nations — Gran Dragnica, Scarlet Will, Mysteine, Purifanoe, Samura Village and Pandemyuon — each set in motion by the rebirth of the Abyssloa Empire.
- Mission Mode — Select from 24 nations to play as, each with its own win condition. This is the mode for players who want to conquer Meltitea from any corner of the continent.
